Sonata undertook her British Hanoverian Horse Society Mare Performance Test and Stud Book Inspection in October 2007. She was accepted into the Main Studbook of the Society following which she achieved a very high mark of 8.00 for her loose jumping. She then went on to the ridden section under her usual rider and then the BHHS test rider who gave her a score of 8.5 for rideability. Once all her scores were collated she was awarded 'Elite Status' and Sonata is the third consecutive mare which we have presented at the Mare Performance Test to be awarded this title.

Her sire, Sandro Song was presented at the Oldenburg Stallion approval by his breeder, Schockemohle, in 1990 where he was crowned "Young Stallion Champion". His excellent jumping ability is typical of his bloodline, however, he also has fabulous movement and rideability for dressage.
Sandro Song
In 1995 his first two sons made their debut, one of them was named Sandro Hit.
Both these young stallions gained their initial approval. In 1997 Sandro Hit went on to complete his Stallion Performance Test in Medingen. In 1999 he became both Federal Champion and World Champion six year old dressage horse and in 2000 he was named "Best Young Stallion".
Having Sandro Song as her sire, out of a Ramino mare, makes Sonata a 75% sister.
